Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape Maintenance, Mowing and Horticultural Forman & Laborers to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining residential and commercial landscapes to a high standard, including lawn care, planting, pruning, seasonal cleanups, and general grounds maintenance.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, works well independently and as part of a team, and enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Prune and trim trees, shrubs, hedges, and ornamental plants.
- Plant, transplant, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscape materials.
- Perform weeding, mulching, bed maintenance, and general landscape cleanup.
- Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and approved landscape treatments as directed.
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance, repairs, and adjustments.
- Perform seasonal services, including spring and fall cleanups and snow/ice-related work when applicable.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, and other hand and power tools.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Identify landscape issues such as plant disease, pest damage, irrigation problems, or unsafe conditions and report them to a supervisor.
- Follow company safety procedures and proper equipment operating practices.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and maintain a positive company image.
Qualifications
- Previous landscape maintenance or groundskeeping experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic lawn, plant, and landscape maintenance practices.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and hand tools.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Pesticide or applicator certification is a plus, where applicable.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Employees must be able to perform outdoor work for extended periods and safely operate landscaping equipment.
Schedule
Full-time positions available. Seasonal and overtime work may be required based on weather, customer needs, and business demands.
